Well done to all the children which took part in todays cricket tournament. It was great to discover that you won! Hopefully we will be able to publish a full report soon.

Football Final

On Thursday 22nd May 2008 the Warriors football team managed to get into the Sanders final and it was the first time in 5 years. We were so happy, we played against St. Helens and we beat them 4-0 everyone was so, so relieved and we were so happy, that we rolled down some hills as a team. When we lifted up our trophy some people kissed it first and it was very funny.

Last Tuesday 13th October 2007, the football team and the manger Peter went to A.B.K Middle School for a football tournament. First of all we played the B team of Newport Primary School and we won a brilliant 6-0 and we were all very pleased with ourselves! After that match we had a match against the Newport the A team but we went down 1-0 at half time but greatly we worked as a team to go onto win 2-1! Finally our last game was against the year 5's of A.B.K despite them being a year a head of us we won  with a fabulous score of 3-0! And as a prize we all won a chocolate bar and a certificate. 

Carisbrooke Football

Carisbrooke went to a A.B.K tournament and they played 3 games during one game they went 1-0 down but they worked as a team and won the game
2-1, the other games they won 6-0 and 3-0. They won the tournament as a team as a prize we got a penguin bar and a certificate and we went back to school with a smile on their faces.

tag rugby

Recently there was school tag rugby team made up from the Year 4 classes that attended a tournament at Carisbrooke High and we played St. Marys, Somerfeild, Newport and other schools. When we had finished all of our matches there was a presentation and the people that organised the tournament  said that we drew 5th.

Carisbrooke brave the weather for a fab sports day!

When no one else would do it - Carisbrooke as part of their sports Week battled the rain to continue with their sports day races.  Even the parents bravely stood under umbrellas to cheer the children on.

Blue is the colour

Didier Drogba's late goal ensured Chelsea were the first team to win The FA Cup at the new Wembley Stadium.

After a 116 minute long war of attrition, the Ivorian conjured up a goal worthy of winning any Final.

Receiving Jon Obi Mikel's pass, Drogba clipped the ball to Frank Lampard before spinning into the box. The England midfielder delivered the perfect volleyed return to Drogba who nipped ahead of Edwin Van Der Sar before poking home.

Chelsea's fans celebrated, knowing Manchester United would not have enough time to force a response. Their roar when Steve Bennett blew the whistle moments later reverberated around the fabulous new arena.
